We Are Family Foundation is honored to announce Rob Light, partner, managing director and head of music at CAA, has joined Nile Rodgers' non-profit's board of directors. CAA represents many of the world's top professionals working in film, television, music, theater, video games, sports, and digital content worldwide.
"Rob has long been at the forefront of the music business and I've known him since the eighties. He's one of the kindest people I've ever worked with and truly has a giving spirit." explains Rodgers, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2017 inductee who co-founded Chic and has collaborated with artists including David Bowie, Duran Duran and Madonna.
Light "sits on a number of charity boards – Musicares, Southern Ground Foundation, Tiger Woods Foundation and City of Hope Cancer Research Hospital," Nile says. "That's a testament to the size of his altruistic heart. I'm honored he's chosen to join our board and help us chart our way into the future.”
Lights says he has "long believed in the power of music to bring people together for the greater good,” writing in a statement “the terrific work of the We Are Family Foundation is a shining example of this and I am proud to work alongside Nile, Nancy, and the entire organization to help amplify their efforts.”
