Producer Ensayne Wayne, Brother of Drumma Boy, Shot to Death in Atlanta

Update: Drumma Boy has shared an exclusive statement to Billboard about the untimely death of his brother, Ensayne Wayne.

"It is extremely sad and unfortunate that I lost my brother, and at this time it requires my undivided attention to my mom, my family, his kids & grandchildren. It is up to us to come together and grow stronger and support each other as we celebrate the life of Ferrell Wayne Miles...my big brother and also my biggest inspiration. We all fight or have disagreements [in this world], but no argument is ever worth the life of a human being. As I move forward, my success is dedicated to him as I carry out our family legacy.”

Producer Ensayne Wayne, brother of Atlanta producer Drumma Boy, was shot and killed following an alleged shootout in Atlanta over the weekend, Fox 5 Atlanta reports. Wayne was 48.

Ensayne Wayne, born Ferell Miles, was reportedly involved in a shooting nearby the House of Fresh clothing boutique in Northwest Atlanta. Police responded to a shooting at 1770 Howell Mill Rd. in Atlanta.

"Upon arrival, officers located the 48-year-old male victim who was suffering injuries consistent with being shot. In the victim’s possession was a shotgun, which was removed from his person before life-saving measures could be attempted by EMS. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital where he expired from his injuries," a representative from the Atlanta Police Department said in a statement.

According to police, the unidentified suspect fled the scene in a black sedan. Drumma Boy confirmed the news in a heartfelt post on his Instagram on Sunday.

"I lost the first person I ever looked up too in life... the first person I ever wanted to be like... My BIG blood-brother... -- My dad showed me the fundamentals of music & music theory, but my brother introduced me to making beats," he wrote alongside a throwback photo of him, Miles and their parents.

He continued: "He paved the way for me, introduced me to everybody he could, continuously bragged about me and gave me an alternative route to take. I always just wanted to see him smile and be proud of the moves I made as well as the moves we made together. Thank you all for the condolences sent for @ensaynewayne and family."
